Grandparents Day
September
Grandparent's Day:
Did you think this one might have roots in the ancient
cultures? Grandparent's Day is a modern holiday. In 1978, President
Carter proclaimed Grandparent's Day as a National Holiday, to be celebrated
in September. You might be thinking - wait, didn't the ancient Chinese honor
their ancestors? They did! All of them. All the time. This is different.
This is a day set aside for each of us to thank our own grandparents for
all they have done for us.
